I guess the Ukraine is not on the top of the list for great beach house getaways, but the little beachside town of Yalta certainly would make for an interesting weekend. It once was the Russian equivalent of the Cote D'Azur of the Tsars and Tsarinas and was also where Churchill, Stalin and and Roosevelt discussed Europe's postwar reorganization in 1945 at Livadia Palace.
And now it is a pitcuresque spot on the black sea with amazing architecture including Swallow's Nest - a beautiful castle perched over the sea straight out of a fairytale!
